Pivot is a 17.2
hand Thoroughbred Stallion. Sire is Pleasant Colony who won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, but came in third in the
Belmont to just miss the Triple Crown. His dam was Young Ballerina who was unraced, but she is by Nijinski, by Northern Dancer.
Pivot’s dam also foaled War Emblem. From the Famous Claiborne Farm of KY, he then moved to Montana to first start his
career with Ann Womack of Montana Sport Horses. Pivot sired many foals that went onto different careers in eventing, hunters,
and jumpers. Pivot then moved onto Missouri with Amy Estates for a few years until coming to North Carolina. After not being
ridden for a quite a few years he has easily settled back into riding. He is working on his flatwork and hacking out in the
woods. Pivot has the sweetest disposition that passes onto his offspring. He expresses floaty gaits and uphill canter. In
2010, Pivot will begin showing in dressage and eventing while also standing for the first time in North Carolina.
